Publisher Requests Full Manuscript

After something over 40 rejection letters (that’s where I lost track–not great for my ego to keep count by that point, lol)… I have had a publisher request the full manuscript.

Who has had the good taste to be interested, you ask?

Yay for me, yay for them! Except that I’ve had publishers be so blunt as to say, “and don’t send anything else!” so it’s hard to get excited. What an excruciating process this is!

Love’s Armageddon… The Dam Has Broken

I know what’s next. It struck me like a ton of bricks today. I had gotten to that point that many authors will relate to… oh boy, how am I going to get from point M to point O?? And inspiration struck today.

Ah, my characters so love to take their own sweet time telling me what’s happening next. They’re so stubborn!

5 year old magic!

My 5 year old daughter just drew a picture in her journal. I write out what she remembers from the day, and then I let her draw a picture. Today, she drew a “love dragon” with hearts and roses.

The only ‘problem’ with the picture? The hearts look like butts. It’s a dragon with six butts!

Kids= an endless source of belly laughs.

Favorite Authors: Laurann Dohner

Just so that everyone knows, I’m not ONLY a writer. I’m also a tremendous lover of READING!

Today, I want to introduce you to Laurann Dohner. If you’re reading my blog, you probably already know about her. But in case you don’t, among my favorite romance books are her New Species Series.

I suppose I shouldn’t be pointing out other authors, but the way that I see it, is that all of us who love to read must stick together! And those of us who love to write, need to stick together, too.

So please, check out Laurann’s books:

Love’s Armageddon

Working hard on the next title for the Supernaturals universe. This one is the legendary Thanatos and the rather wonky Alexis.

I think the most interesting part of going from one novel and starting on the next is how the characters from the previous keep trying to infiltrate the current one. Hamish has already made his cameo. Perhaps he’ll be more active later on, but Hamish lovers won’t be disappointed entirely, for sure.

Mason and Corran have had cameos as well in the current chapter.

And, naturally, there’s plenty of our favorite vampire, Tallis, to go around.

The fun thing about Love’s Armageddon, though, is that it occurs previous to A Wolf’s Song.

Well, that being said, back to writing I must go!

A Wolf’s Song

So now that A Wolf’s Song is published here, I’ve been working on getting the word out.

I think my favorite part of writing A Wolf’s Song was Hamish. If you’ve ever played the game Dragon Age, I envisioned Hamish very much like Alistair physically. Of course, that could be because I had the worst possible crush on Alistair while I played that game.

If you’ve read it, feel free to tell us who you envisioned, if anyone, while you read it. For Desiree, as well.
